I am a Worcester based classically trained artist who is inspired by the nuances of light and colour. I paint seasonal flower still life paintings, as well as local landscapes and pet portrait painting commissions. I find beauty in everyday items in home surroundings and often add vintage family heirlooms to my compositions, enabling those whom we have lost to remain in our memory. Influenced by post Impressionism and Colourism, I have been painting using traditional oil painting techniques for over 30 years, embraced acrylic paints more recently and now work with both mediums. My work captures an impression, a moment in time and my emotional connection to the subject or object. I paint every day and cannot imagine life without painting. I exhibit regularly at Artists’ Studios at Bevere Gallery and The Artery Studios, Worcester as well as Number 8 Gallery, Pershore. I am regular exhibitor at Worcestershire Open Studios every August. As a founder member of Barbourne Artists collective I group exhibit every summer as well as taking part in Barbourne Artists’ Christmas Fair every year.
