Caroline Summerfield

I trained at Park Walk Studios Chelsea, the Art Academy London and the London Atelier of Representational Art and was awarded distinction for my postgraduate diploma in sculpture.  My practice as an artist encompasses sculpture, printmaking and drawing.  The prints and drawings I create are inspired by my sculptures.

I specialise in creating highly finished indoor stone sculptures, inspired by the human form, birth and motherhood. When I am working in stone, I am very conscious of the tactile quality of sculpture, and therefore hand polish my sculptures to heighten the contours and shadows, creating tactile patinas.  Most recently,  I have been creating limited edition fine art prints related to my sculptures. 

As an artist I was featured in the BBC 2 Television Series, Show Me The Monet, and have been featured in 'Skandia Magazine' for the Memory Collective London Show, Global News Network. I am a founder member of The Memory Collective and a member of the Cotswold Sculptors' Association.  Recent exhibitions include the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Prize Summer Exhibition 2022.
