Artist Biography

My Swedish partner and I where both interested in nature. Jenny Strid had obscured and revealed parts of her previous work with cut out patterns. I found this interesting and sought to explore this idea of 'obscured and revealed' through the experience of a walk through the woods.

There are two pieces of work, a print, 'Vestige' (edition of 5, 57 x 33cm) and a short film 'Leavings'. In these I was considering what we don't notice or can't see using embossed and intaglio printed lino, with stencils, and in the film intaglio linoprint with cut-out areas revealing something on the other side of the still image.
