NUMBER1: TAKE THEMSELVES SERIOUSLY

Now, to many this may seem obvious, but we have had countless conversations with artists who are filled with doubts and insecurities when it comes to the work they create.

Our most successful Artists have been ones who not only believe in themselves and create great work but also live and breathe the work they create.

The decisive thing you can do as an artist is put everything on the line and start taking it seriously. If you are constantly second-guessing whether you are doing the right thing you will be subconsciously putting hurdles before you.

There is a huge amount of work involved not just in creating your artwork but also in the promotion and sale of it. This needs dedication and resilience to get over those initial inevitable set-backs, rejections and mistakes that come with learning any new skill.

But as you learn and grow as an Artist, dedicating your time not only to creating and developing your work, but also getting it out into the world for others to see, will become easier and easier. Your audience will see this dedication in the work you create.
