ANDREW GURNETT — SOUL SHADOWS
Soul Shadows is one of Andrew's latest works, available directly from the artist in a giclée print on Hahnemühle Photorag fine-art paper. As with all of his work, it gives a sense of a forgotten corner, an overlooked mundanity of urban landscape which through his interested lens becomes beautiful.
The image demands the viewers slow exploration, leading the eye around it's somewhat mysterious topology as we form a dialogue with it's layered intricacies. There is a shadow of natural forms overlaying the human environment deriving question about a place and a narrative in an situation both recognisable and strange. Andrew's eye for sublime muted colour tones and serene sense of feeling is exemplified in this delicate ephemeral work.
